At Dosthill Primary Academy, we are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 and the public sector equality duty. As part of the Fierté Multi-Academy Trust, we strive to promote equality, eliminate discrimination, and foster good relations among all members of our community.

Our Equality Objectives To meet our obligations, we have set the following specific and measurable equality objectives, which are reviewed annually and updated every four years:

    We aim to ensure that all school policies, including behaviour and safeguarding, explicitly address the importance of eliminating discrimination.

     
  2. Advancing Equality of Opportunity
    We are committed to closing the attainment gaps for pupils with protected characteristics, including those with special educational needs, disabilities, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

     
  3. Fostering Good Relations
    We aim to enhance cultural awareness and mutual respect through a diverse curriculum and extracurricular activities that celebrate differences.

     
  4. Ensuring Equality in Decision-Making
    Equality considerations will be embedded in all significant school decisions, ensuring that all events and activities are inclusive and accessible.
