Year 4 Investigates Effects of Liquids on Teeth

This week, Year 4 children conducted an intriguing experiment to observe the effects of different liquids on eggshells, which served as a representation of our teeth. The results were surprising and educational!

Vinegar completely dissolved the eggshell, demonstrating its strong acidic nature. Orange juice made the shell rough and flaky, while cola left noticeable stains. Only water kept the shell unchanged, highlighting its neutral effect.

This experiment was a great reminder for everyone to take care of their teeth and be mindful of what they drink. Well done, Year 4, for your insightful investigation!
