Year 5 Advance Their Coding Skills with Interactive Microbit Pets

Year 5 have been making fantastic progress in their coding journey using Microbits. Building on their previous learning, the children have now moved on to programming multiple codes that allow the Microbit to respond to different inputs.
This week, they created a virtual ‘pet hamster,’ which they programmed to react in various ways depending on how it was interacted with. Whether touched, shaken, or tilted, the Microbit responded with different programmed behaviors, bringing their digital pets to life. This exciting project has helped develop their problem-solving skills and deepen their understanding of coding logic.
Well done, Year 5, for your fantastic creativity and perseverance in programming!
